how do drug discount cards work

Drug discount cards let consumers access negotiated cash prices outside their insurance network. Pharmacies apply a contracted rate from the card vendor, which may differ from CMS NADAC benchmarks or plan formulary costs. They don’t count toward deductibles or 340B pricing exposure.
