how do drug rebates work
Drug rebates are post-sale payments from manufacturers to pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) or plan sponsors, typically based on formulary placement and volume. They lower net drug costs but are not reflected in the CMS NADAC benchmark or FDA pricing data. For PBM contract mechanics, see RxPBM.
